About Care.Fi

Built for the work behind hospital billing

Indian hospitals face preventable claim rejections and wait 90 to 120 days for settlement. Care.Fi builds software for both problems.

Why we built this

Indian hospital claims still move through a process built for another era. Discharge summaries are exported to PDF, billing coders retype codes into insurer portals, and teams track claim status through phone calls and spreadsheets. The result is a rejection rate between 25 and 35 percent across most hospital types, plus a settlement lag of 90 to 120 days from submission.

Both problems are solvable with software. AI coding maps discharge summaries to ICD-10 and NABH codes more consistently than manual coding. A rejection predictor trained on rejection patterns flags issues before submission. Receivables-based financing advances qualifying claims within 48 hours.

Care.Fi connects these three modules because they reinforce one another. Better coding reduces rejections. Fewer rejections make the claim pool more predictable. A predictable pool supports financing.

How we think about the work

01

We tell hospitals what will fail before it fails

The rejection predictor runs on every claim before submission. It surfaces the specific coding or documentation issue driving the risk score, not just a flag. Billing staff can fix problems before the insurer sees the claim.

02

We move faster than insurance timelines

Settlement cycles in Indian health insurance run 90 to 120 days. That lag creates cash flow problems for hospitals. We close the gap with receivables-based advances on qualifying claims, deposited within 48 hours.

03

We only win when hospitals get paid

Our fee is tied to claim value, not seat count or module licenses. When a hospital's collections improve, we do well. When they do not, we have a problem to fix.
